Eagle Society’s Year in Review

At the Eagle Society’s Cocktails and Conversation reception on Dec. 6, Grant Moise, publisher of The Dallas Morning News and CEO of DallasNews Corporation, spoke to the Eagles on the subject of “Dallas – A Year in Review.” Mike Rawlings, former Dallas mayor and Methodist Health System Foundation board of trustees member, enjoyed “getting to put the press in the hot seat” for a change, and asked Moise a variety of questions about what he sees on the horizon this year.

Moise addressed the record growth of North Texas, describing how the migration continues to impact housing, infrastructure, and taxes, with little signs of stopping. Answering the last question of the evening, Moise spoke to The News’ decisions to expand its digital coverage, as well as staff more local reporters across the Metroplex to ensure the suburbs receive attention.
