The Family Medicine Academic Clinic is the outpatient care and teaching center of Methodist Health System. The physicians on the medical staff specialize in family medicine – the medical specialty that provides continuing and comprehensive health care for individuals and families throughout the various stages of life, from childhood and adolescence to adulthood and geriatrics.

Services available at the Family Medicine Academic Clinic include:

  • Comprehensive geriatric assessment

  • Every patient is expected to have a financial interest in their care. For patients who do not have insurance, the Family Medicine Academic Clinic offers income-based discounts, as well as same-day payment discounts.
  • Unless prior arrangements have been made, each patient is required to make a minimum $30 copayment at the time of service.
  • The Family Medicine Academic Clinic - a department of Methodist Southwest Medical Center accepts most insurance plans including Medicare, Medicaid, and Secure Horizons.
