Methodist Mansfield Opens New Nature Trail; Encourages Exercise

"Methodist Mansfield President and City Park Officials to Open Trail for “Pathways to Health”


Methodist Mansfield is challenging residents to exercise more this summer. On Monday, June 15, Methodist Mansfield will open a new nature trail at the Elmer Oliver Nature Park. Methodist Mansfield President John Phillips will join city and park officials to open the “Health is in Our Nature” trail partnership. Methodist Mansfield is excited to open this trail and will be announcing Move 125, which invites citizens to walk 125 miles at park trails or the hospital trail in celebration of Mansfield’s 125thbirthday. We hope Mansfield residents will take advantage of this new trail and come to Methodist Mansfield for their health care needs.

Videos can be taken of residents walking the trail. Methodist Mansfield President John Phillips will be available to comment about the impact we hope this has on the hospital and Mansfield. Mayor David Cook, Parks’ Board of Directors, and City Manager, Clayton Chandler, will also be available to comment on the impact of this park trail and Move 125 will have on the city and its residents.
