About Grant Herrington, MD, DABOM
Grant Herrington, MD, is a general endocrinologist with special interests in diabetes, diabetes technology, obesity pharmacotherapy, post-bariatric surgery care, osteoporosis, and fine needle aspiration biopsies for the assessment of thyroid nodules. Dr. Herrington partners with patients to set clear, data-driven goals, aligning their values with effective treatments.
Dr. Herrington earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, where he graduated with honors. He then received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Herrington then completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and his endocrinology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Herrington grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa, but moved to North Texas in 2020. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their three children, hiking local trails, exercising, and trying out new coffee shops in Dallas.
