About Anna-Maria Blake Toker, MD
Anna Toker, MD, is a board certified colorectal surgeon who specializes in robotic colorectal surgery, hemorrhoid surgery, colonoscopy, and incontinence management. She provides treatment for a wide range of colorectal disorders and diseases, including IBS, diverticulitis, and anal pruritus.
Dr. Toker earned Bachelor degrees in Chemistry (BA) and Biology (BS) from the University of New Orleans in Louisiana, where she graduated with honors. Following undergrad, Dr. Toker earned a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. She then received her Medical Degree from LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine, where she also graduated with honors.
Following medical school, Dr. Toker completed her general surgery residency at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. She received specialized training through a colorectal surgery residency at University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Toker is passionate about educating the next generation of colorectal surgeons. She currently is a member of the teaching staff in the department of general surgery at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
In this role, Dr. Toker directly instructs and supervises general surgery residents during surgeries and rounds.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Toker enjoys spending time with her husband and children on their small farm in Waxahachie.
