Meet The Team


Registered Dietitian

Kelly Everman RD, LD is involved in the pre-op and post-op nutrition care of patients. She has 17 years of experience as a clinical dietitian, working with bariatric surgery patients since 2001. Kelly graduated from Iowa State University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She completed her post-graduate dietetic internship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Kelly is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a Texas Licensed Dietitian. She is here to assist patients in a positive weight management outcomes for improved health and well-being.


Bariatric Coordinator

Tamera was raised in West Texas, attended Texas Tech University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is presently working on her Master of Science degree in Nursing Education and hopes to continue to teach through retirement. She has 40 years’ experience in Obstetrics including Labor & Delivery, Midwifery and home birth services. Tamera had weight loss surgery 15 years ago and brings this insight to her position. She experiences the same daily challenges her patients face, giving her a unique advantage in coordinating their care.

Tamera has been married for 16 years and has a blended family of 5 sons and 8 grandchildren. She and her husband Vense enjoy camping, Texas beaches and fishing with their dachshunds, Inga and Gertie.


Office Manger

Priscilla is the Office Manager and oversees all the administrative functions within the office. She has worked with bariatric patients for over 10 years, received her Associate’s Degree from DCCCD and is currently working toward her Bachelor’s Degree. Priscilla enjoys working with our patients and being part of their weight loss journey. She is committed to making your experience at the office a positive one. In her spare time Priscilla loves spending time with her family and friends and watching football. Go Cowboys!


Patient Representative

Harolyn is the Patient Representative and the first face you will see at Methodist Charlton Bariatrics. She just completed her first year in the specialty of Bariatrics, and has worked alongside with Dr. Castro since 2017. She also accompanied him to the Methodist family in May 2018.

You can assure that you will feel welcomed with every encounter with Harolyn. She greets each patient with a warm and inviting smile. She is sure that your experience in the office is a pleasant one starting with the first phone interaction. She has extensive knowledge of insurance verifications and the bariatric process even though she has been in the specialty a short period of time. She is detail-oriented with excellent customer service, and is a vital asset to the team.


Brittany’s lifelong dream is to work in the medical field. She’s worked as a CMA for 8 years and plans on furthering her education to obtain her Medical Aesthetic Degree. She is an essential part of our bariatric team and will help you obtain medical clearance required prior to your bariatric surgery with Dr. Castro. Brittany believes the key to success in every area of life should be accomplished by having a positive attitude. On her time away from the office she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
