much more! Heart to Heart, a Methodist Heart of the Community event, was
held February 18, 2012 in Dallas, Richardson, and Mansfield, Texas.
Joint Pain Workshop 2011
What would life be like without joint pain? Participants found answers
at Answers for Your Aching Joints, a free joint pain workshop at Methodist
Charlton Medical Center held on October 1, 2011. The audience learned
about the leading causes of hip, knee, and shoulder pain from Methodist Charlton
Joint Academy orthopedic physicians. They heard about the spectrum of treatment options
available at Methodist to help them get back in the swing of things –
sooner and with less pain than they may have thought possible.
Men's Health Tune-Up 2011
Dallas Cowboys defensive legend Tony Casillas delivered the keynote address
at the 2011 Men's Health Tune-Up at Methodist Dallas Medical Center on
Sept. 10. Topics covered included hypertension, cholesterol, diabetes,
prostate cancer, indigestion and GERD.
Girl Talk 2011
Methodist Charlton hosted Girl Talk on May 21, 2011, an event focusing
on the latest advancements in women's health with physician experts, screenings,
humor and light-hearted commentary mixed in. Discussions focused on menopause,
uterine fibroids, hysterectomy, breast cancer, osteoporosis, and more.
Methodist Charlton Pastor Appreciation Luncheon
Recognizing the impact church leadership has on its community, Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas hosted its annual appreciation luncheon for local pastors and ministry leaders in April 2011. Speaker for the event was Pastor Tony Evans, senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas. Free health screenings for hypertension, high cholesterol, triglycerides, diabetes, prostate cancer, and body mass index (BMI) were also offered.

Methodist Dallas hosted auditions for season 12 of NBC's
The Biggest Loser on Saturday, March 12, 2011 and presented a free health fair for contestants
featuring motivating speakers with valuable tips on different aspects
of good health, healthy cooking tips, simple fitness and motion exercises,
and an opportunity to interact with professionals and organizations that
will share ways to lead a healthier lifestyle. Watch a video wrap-up of
