At Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, we will support you throughout your entire birthing experience in our spacious labor/delivery/recovery suites.

These labor/delivery/recovery (LDR) rooms have been designed to provide your medical team with easy access to the specialized equipment they need to see you and your baby safely through labor, childbirth, and recovery.

Our spacious LDR suites feature:

  • High-speed Internet access
  • Flat-screen TV,
  • Many other amenities make our LDR suites inviting and comfortable for you and your family

Should you require a Cesarean section or other surgical procedure, your physicians will have the support of our highly trained nurses and surgical teams to see you through your delivery. We have a dedicated operating room within our labor and delivery unit, so you will have peace of mind knowing that advanced technology is just a few steps away.

Childbirth and Breastfeeding Classes and Support

When you choose Methodist Mansfield for maternity care, you’re choosing a team that supports you every step of the way—before, during, and after delivery. We offer both in-person and online childbirth preparation classes to help you feel confident and prepared for labor, delivery, and newborn care.

We’re proud to be recognized as a Texas Ten Step facility by the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Texas Hospital Association for our commitment to breastfeeding care and education.

Our services include:

  • Support groups for nursing moms

Support for Donor Milk and Breast Milk Donation

Methodist Mansfield is a proud donor milk drop-off location for Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas. Approved donors can safely and conveniently bring their milk to our facility to help nourish fragile infants in need across the region.

In addition, donor human milk is available to qualifying newborns in our care and in the community, ensuring that babies who need extra support can receive the best possible nutrition when their own mothers are unable to provide breast milk.

Mother and Baby Shared Care

Once your baby is finally here, you’ll want to remain close. “Rooming in” gives you a great opportunity for bonding and allows our specialized team of mother-baby nurses to educate, answer questions, provide support, and make sure you’re both doing well.

Dedicated Quiet Time for Mothers and Infants

We understand the importance of the first moments and days after birth. Methodist Mansfield offers designated quiet times to support rest, recovery, and bonding between mother and baby.

Quiet times include:

  • The first 30 minutes immediately after birth
  • Daily from 1–3 p.m. and 1–3 a.m.

During these times, we limit interruptions and non-essential visits to allow families to:

  • Rest and recharge
  • Breastfeed without disruptions
  • Strengthen early bonding between mom, baby, and family members
  • Begin the transition to their home schedule in a calm, peaceful environment
