Methodist Dallas Medical Center wants to make your labor and delivery experience
the best experience. Our unit has been transformed to provide advanced
care to laboring mothers in a calming setting.

Labor and Delivery Tour



Please read below and speak with your physician about your upcoming delivery
at Methodist Dallas.

Where to go upon arrival

Between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., labor and delivery patients must enter Methodist Dallas through the Main
Schenkel Tower lobby. (1441 N. Beckley Ave, Dallas, Texas 75208) Park
in the Schenkel Tower Parking Garage and take the elevator to our main floor.

Once through security, walk straight to the yellow Schenkel Tower Elevators
and make your way to the third floor. A receptionist will check you in
and bring you inside the unit.

Between 7 p.m. – 7 a.m., afterhours labor and delivery patients must enter Methodist Dallas through
the Emergency entrance on W. Colorado Blvd. Please park in our Pavilion
II Parking Garage (217 W. Colorado Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75208) and find
one of four spots marked for Labor and Delivery.

Once parked, check in with the main Emergency desk and our staff will guide
you inside to the yellow Schenkel Tower elevators. Our labor and delivery
department is on the third floor.

Our Birth Center

This Women’s and Children’s Services unit includes:

  • 14 large labor and delivery suites
  • Two operating rooms for cesarean sections
  • Five-room Obstetrics Emergency Department led by OB hospitalists
  • Recovery area
  • Convertible sleeper sofa for support person
  • Lactation support services
