Our Services

Methodist Dallas Level I Trauma Center

A Level I Trauma Center is the highest designation a hospital can receive for trauma care. This designation means the hospital is fully equipped to provide comprehensive, lifesaving care for the most severe and complex injuries. For Methodist Dallas, that means that patients have access to:

  • Comprehensive adult trauma care with immediate, 24/7 access to trauma surgeons, specialized physicians, emergency surgery, and advanced imaging
  • Multidisciplinary trauma teams, including trauma surgery, emergency medicine, anesthesia, orthopedics, neurosurgery, critical care, and more
  • Regional referral and transfer coordination
  • Continuous quality improvement, outcomes monitoring, research, and education to advance trauma care

G60 – Geriatric Trauma Program

At Methodist Dallas Medical Center, we’re committed to addressing the unique emergency care needs of our older patients. That’s why we developed G60, our Geriatric Trauma Program.

Older adults are often at greater risk for additional injuries or falls while in the hospital. The G60 program provides older patients with tailored care that includes:

  • Compassionate staff members who are specially trained to meet the needs of patients over age 60
  • Slip-resistant floors
  • Beds that are lower to the ground for safety
  • Decreased noise and activity levels
  • Reduced exposure to infectious diseases
