Be Aware of MyChart Phishing Emails

Patients have reported receiving fraudulent “Your MyChart Medicare Kit Awaits!” emails. These emails ARE NOT from Methodist Health System and are part of a phishing scam.
The message may look like the example below:

If you receive this, or a similar, email:

  • Do not click on any links, including the “unsubscribe” link
  • Do not provide any personal or financial information
  • Do not reply to the email
  • Delete the email immediately

How to recognize the scam:

  • Look for misspellings: Methodist Health System brands MyChart  – see below. If the email refers to “MyChart,” it is a warning sign that the message is not legitimate.

  • Verify the sender’s email address: An email from Methodist Health System MyChart would come from mycdonotreply@mhd.com
