You Are Not Alone- Discuss Cancer Coping Strategies With Others

Whether you’re coping with cancer treatment, cancer recovery, or loss related to cancer, support from others can make it easier. Our cancer support groups provide a setting where cancer patients, friends, and family members can discuss their feelings about the disease.

  • Breast Cancer Support Group - Meets every third Thursday of the month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Bradie James Breast Cancer Resource Center located inside of the Women's Imaging Center. This support group offers education on a variety of breast cancer topics ranging from Diagnosis, to treatment, to survivorship. All breast cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers are invited to participate in the sessions. Call 214-947-1771

  • Pancreatic Cancer & Surgery Support Groups - Meets at Methodist Dallas the second Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Patients and caregivers gather monthly to support each other and learn valuable information from guest speakers on a variety of health topics. Call 214-933-6601

  • Dialogo – Meets every 2nd Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Weiss Auditorium at Methodist Dallas. This support group is open to all Spanish-speaking cancer survivors and their care givers. Call 214-947-2924

  • Inpatient Cancer Support Group – Group for inpatients of Methodist Dallas that meets at the Hitt Family Room on 7BT. Call 214-947-7099

  • Smoking Cessation Support Group – Meets every 1st Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Weatherford room at Methodist Dallas. This support group is open to all Methodist patients looking for peer support and education for quitting smoking, and for a continuous tobacco-free lifestyle. Call 214-947-1768

  • Cancer Survivor’s Support Group – Meets the first Tuesday evening of the month at Methodist Dallas Medical Center from 6:00-7:30 pm in the Weatherford Room located in the first room on the right of the main lobby entrance. This support group offers emotional support and connection, as well as information and resources for patients after cancer treatment is completed. All cancer survivors and caregivers are invited to participate in the sessions.
