The Liver Institute at Methodist Dallas is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary
disease management center specializing in diseases of the liver, bile
ducts, and pancreas. Based at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, The Liver
Institute brings together a team of leading clinicians and researchers
within the fields of hepatology, gastroenterology, oncology, interventional
radiology, hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery, and organ transplantation.
Our physicians remain easily accessible and readily available to meet
the needs of both referring physicians and patients alike. Working collectively,
we offer complete patient care by providing standard as well as innovative
medical and surgical therapies encompassing all aspects of hepatobiliary
and pancreatic diseases. Enhancing patient care at The Liver Institute
is an active program in clinical research that continues to grow in both
local and national recognition. Originally opened in 2003 as a provider
for the Dallas–Fort Worth community, The Liver Institute is now
a major tertiary referral center for North Texas and the surrounding regions.

More than 1,700 patients are referred to The Liver Institute annually to
benefit from our multidisciplinary team approach and comprehensive care.
The Liver Institute brings together a team of leading surgeons, clinicians,
and researchers within the fields of hematology, gastroenterology, oncology,
interventional radiology, and other professional disciplines to ensure
an individualized treatment plan for each patient.
Our surgeons also work collaboratively with other liver and GI disease
specialists in the patient’s post-operative management, an important
aspect in the treatment of liver and pancreatic disease to improve the
efficacy of treatment.
