Dr. Mason was born and raised in Boston and received his undergraduate degree at Harvard College and Medical degree at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. He trained at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, a Harvard teaching hospital. After completing his training, he served as a staff surgeon at Johns Hopkins University.
