About Tom Dean, MD
Dr. Dean was raised in Texas, and obtained his undergraduate degree from Austin College, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. He completed a combined four year residency in OB/GYN at Methodist and Parkland Hospitals. He has been in private practice in Southwest Dallas County for more than forty years.
Early in his career he had several positions of oversite both as the president of the Methodist Charlton Medical Staff, then the president of the Corporate Medical Board of Methodist Health System. He was also the chairman of the Board of Censors and a member of the Board of Directors of the Dallas County Medical Society. Since then, he has chosen to focus on the practice of medicine, and worked primarily at Methodist Charlton Medical Center.
Married for many years, he enjoys visiting his kids and grandkids and being in the great outdoors.
