About Thomas Kleisli, MD
Dr. Kleisli is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. His clinical interests include procedures involving bicuspid aortic valves, aneurysms, and coronary and valvular disease.
Dr. Kleisli obtained his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, and his general surgery residency at Maricopa Medical Center, Phoenix, AZ. From there he was trained by Craig Baker, MD, at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Los Angeles, CA, where he completed his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery.
Dr. Kleisli has conducted extensive research in the areas of adult cardiac surgery and aortic disease. He has contributed to numerous articles to medical journals and is an experienced lecturer and presenter.
Dr. Kleisli grew up in Zurich, Switzerland, and competed at the collegiate level in crew. He shares a practice with his wife, Ashley Fratello, MD, and they have four children. Their office is located on the campus of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.
