Sumeesh Dhawan MD

Sumeesh Dhawan, MD, is a board certified internal medicine physician who specializes in preventive medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, infectious disease, and nephrology. He also focuses on stroke prevention, the management of congestive heart failure, and treatment of chronic kidney disease.
Dr. Dhawan earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Rohtak, Haryana, India. He then completed residency training in internal medicine at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. Dr. Dhawan then completed a clinical and research fellowship in Nuclear Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Dhawan grew up in India and has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons – who are both pursuing educations in medically-related fields. He can be found exercising and running marathons, or petting his mini-goldendoodle, Mylo.
