Dr. Maehara is a very thorough and caring doctor.
Dr. Maehara is the kindest person I have ever met! She shows such care, compassion and empathy. I currently deal with another Dr. For my cardiology side and they do not show much emotion at all and always seem in a rush. So busy and its a very fast appointment so I don't even feel comfortable going. Dr. Maehara never seems rushed. I can talk to her about how my health is feeling or any questions I have and that is very appreciative since I did have a heart attack and it causes me so much stress. But by the time I leave I feel so much more at ease. I am so appreciative to have found her as my Primary and appreciate her!

Honestly I am super impressed with Dr. Maehara. I read some negative reviews about her online and I dont' know what those people are talking about. People will literally complain about anything. I'm actually really surpsied that a doctor as young as Dr. Maehara is as great as she is. Not only is she accomplished but she practicly has a PHD in social awarness as well. Being educated and aware are two entirely differnet things. She is exceptional at both. It's really incredible actually. I am somebody who is vocal, assertive and holds people accountable on a regular basis and it's such a pleasant suprise to see someone carrying themselves like Dr. Maehara.

Dr Maehara has a very calming presence. She takes great interest in her patients and responds to concerns and needs with care and understanding. I have referred many friends to her and they have all commented that she is a breath of fresh air as a physician! I do not feel pressured to get certain vaccines but she thoroughly explained the advantages of immunizations that I was hesitant about. I appreciate her immensely!
Dr. Maehara listened intently to the issues I was having and provided some very good suggestions to alleviate the pain. She is always super friendly and takes the time to understand my symptoms and provide explanation for the reason why she is recommending certain action.

Appointment was made back in November for a medication refill. Once I was able to be seen, she was not willing to refill medication I have been on daily for over a year. When submitting the request online for the refill, back in November, I was told I needed to be seen before I could get the refill. But once my appointment day arrived, she was not willing to refill the medicine for me and told me I would need to find another doctor to see me.

Dr. Maehara was excellent. I can see why she is rated so highly. I was expecting the visit to involve a little more of actual physical examination, but maybe that's a different type of visit from the one I scheduled.
