About Kimberly Mills, DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Kimberly Mills is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP) with Methodist Health System. She provides patient-centered, whole-person care for the body, mind, and spirit. She has been a nurse since 2006, becoming an FNP in 2014. She joined Methodist Health in 2025.
Mills provides health maintenance and preventive care along with service to patients with acute and chronic health conditions. She has special interests in early assessment and intervention for heart conditions, management of diabetes and obesity, and treatment of a range of skin conditions. She also specializes in helping her patients with mental health concerns.
Mills encourages patients to become directly involved and invested in their own care. This approach helps patients stick with their treatment programs, leading to better health outcomes and quality of life. For Mills, making connections with her patients is personal. The experiences her extended family and grandmothers had with health care systems — limited resources and access and substandard care — inspired her to help others avoid the same problems. She strives to bridge the disparity gaps in health care through patient education and preventive care.
Mills maintains a personal wellness and fitness routine for her own health as well as to be a role model for her family and patients. In addition to her nursing and personal health practices, Mills enjoys spending time with her family and being an active leader in her church. She also volunteers with the Northeast Dallas Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, serving mothers with children ages 2 to 19.
