About Juan Soto-Lopez, MD

Juan Soto-Lopez, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor at Methodist Family Health Center – Celina. He specializes in helping patients prevent and treat common conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. He also treats a broad array of chronic (long-term) medical issues, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, thyroid disorders, and osteoporosis.

Dr. Soto-Lopez provides care for acute (short-term) conditions as well. He treats patients who seek care for digestive, musculoskeletal, neurologic, respiratory, skin, and urinary problems.

Dr. Soto-Lopez provides preventive care for young, adult, and elderly patients. He brings decades of experience to his work with patients and has practiced medicine in both Colombia and the U.S.

Dr. Soto-Lopez’s interest in healthcare began early in his life, when he was doing social services while in high school and saw people struggling with physical and mental health conditions. His experiences inspired him to enter the medical field.

Throughout his career, Dr. Soto-Lopez has enjoyed the opportunity to meet patients of all ages. He finds inspiration in helping people manage a wide array of diverse medical conditions.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Soto-Lopez likes to spend time with his family, read, watch movies, and listen to music. He also enjoys traveling and collecting a variety of objects.
