J. Trever Rester, MD, is an experienced primary care physician who has been serving the greater Lake Ray Hubbard area since 1998. Dr. Rester graduated medical school from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, McGovern Medical School, and completed his residency in both internal medicine and pediatrics from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. Certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Rester is uniquely qualified to care for all members of the entire family which have given him the honor of treating up to four generations of the same family. Whenever possible, he strives to identify the root cause of an issue so treatment can be directed towards the underlying cause of the problem. Dr. Rester also places a high priority on encouraging healthy lifestyles and preventive medicine which includes routine cancer screenings and wellness checkups. He also treats allergies, asthma, eczema, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, ear and other common infections among other ailments.
Deeply invested in his community as well as his patients, Dr. Rester has been named “Best Physician” on three separate occasions by the Rockwall Herald-Banner Newspaper, Community Choice Awards. In addition to his clinical endeavors, Dr. Rester enjoys camping, canoeing, cooking, yard maintenance, playing board games, and spending time with his family.
