About Ireca Mance, PA-C
Ireca Mance is a board-certified physician assistant (PA-C) at Methodist Community Collaborative Health Center. She specializes in primary care, with a focus on preventive medicine.
Mance has a special interest in helping patients with allergies, asthma, and eczema. She also places importance on normalizing the role of antidepressants in depression and anxiety treatment. She began her career as a physician assistant in 2023 and joined Methodist Health System in 2025. Before starting her career in medicine, she served in the U.S. Air Force, from which she was honorably discharged in 2013.
Mance believes in treating the whole person and prioritizes learning about her patients’ lives to help them achieve better health outcomes. Her approach means understanding each patient’s obstacles — physical, mental, social, and financial — so she can create a personalized treatment plan. If she isn’t able to address all their challenges, she connects them with someone with the expertise to help.
Mance’s motto is “It’s difficult to do well when you don’t feel well.” She understands that fitting all the pieces of one’s life together can be so challenging that it can affect physical and mental health. In primary care, she has the opportunity to build relationships that help patients learn to fit all the pieces together for health and wellness.
A healthcare provider of her own inspired Mance to become a physician assistant. She credits her provider with helping her through a difficult transition after leaving the Air Force. Her provider believed in and supported her personal and career goals, helping Mance harness the confidence to forge ahead in a demanding field. It’s a trait she works to carry forward in her relationships with patients.
When Mance isn’t seeing patients, she pursues a variety of personal interests. She places a high importance on nutrition, keeping up with the latest news and research. She enjoys journaling, reading, watching Marvel movies, and, especially, hanging out with her dogs. She currently has two senior dogs. Her first dog was her military dog. She considered him to be her best friend, and he lived until he was 18. Because of her experiences with her beloved pets, she hopes to one day run a senior dog rescue organization.
