About Carley E. Legan, DO
Carley Legan, DO, MBA, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with Methodist Richardson Medical Center. She began her practice with Methodist Health System as a hospitalist in 2016. She moved to Richardson as a primary care physician in 2024.
Dr. Legan provides compassionate preventive and chronic condition care to patients. She has special expertise in treating diabetes, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism, and helping patients with weight loss. She prioritizes a holistic approach, focusing on care for the whole patient — body, mind, and spirit.
Dr. Legan enjoys seeing a variety of patients and treating a wide range of conditions that also include heart failure, chronic kidney disease, and endocrine abnormalities. Her goal is to help her patients live longer, healthier lives through disease prevention and managing long-term conditions.
Dr. Legan was inspired to become a physician by her brother-in-law. They worked together in a medical clinic as undergraduate students, and she looked up to him as a mentor in the medical field.
Outside the office, Dr. Legan enjoys running, shopping, and spending time with her family.
