About Brooke Fitch, DO
Brooke Fitch, DO, is an internal medicine physician focused on preventive medicine, lifestyle counseling, and chronic condition care. She has a special interest in diagnosing and treating a range of long-term conditions in adults.
Conditions Dr. Fitch treats include congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, migraines, obesity, thyroid disorders, and type 1 and 2 diabetes. She also helps patients who have anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.
Dr. Fitch chose to pursue internal medicine because she enjoys caring for patients with a variety of complex medical conditions. When she was in college, her own primary care physician inspired her to become a doctor. He listened to her when she felt no one else did. He discovered the cause of medical issues she was having and provided treatments that improved her quality of life. The experience highlighted the impact a doctor can have on a patient’s life. She credits that time with helping to shape her approach to care.
Education, collaboration, and compassion are the foundational principles of Dr. Fitch’s practice. She believes all patients should feel heard and respected. She wants them to feel included in and informed about their care. She helps patients understand their body, their conditions, and the reasons she recommends certain treatments and lifestyle changes. Dr. Fitch sees patients as partners, working with them to make important healthcare decisions that can improve their lives.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Fitch enjoys a variety of personal interests. She loves reading mystery, thriller, romance, and fantasy novels. She also pursues a number of creative activities, including crocheting, crafting, and DIY projects.
