About Ashley N. Pirisino, MD

Ashley Pirisino, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor at Methodist Family Health Center – Waxahachie. She delivers patient-focused primary care for chronic (ongoing) and acute (short-term) health issues and offers whole-person care. She also specializes in helping people with metabolic disorders, such as diabetes and high cholesterol, and mental health conditions.

Dr. Pirisino incorporates her training in integrative medicine into patient care by taking a proactive, preventive approach. She treats the whole person — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Working together, Dr. Pirisino and her patients identify and treat root causes of health issues instead of just treating symptoms. 

During visits, Dr. Pirisino encourages patients to take charge of their health and wellness, empowering them to feel confident in their care. She develops long-term, collaborative relationships with them, sometimes treating multiple members of the same family through their different life phases.

Family and community involvement are important to Dr. Pirisino, and during her free time, she enjoys spending time with both. However, she carries on her work outside the office, serving the community through medical missions at home and abroad.
