About Ashley Fratello, MD
Dr. Ashley Fratello is a board certified cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon in practice since 2019. Her clinical interests include but are not limited to treatment of valvular disease, complex coronary disease, aortic dissections, total aortic arch replacements, and elective ascending aorta repairs. She is trained to do all cardiac and thoracic cases with the exception of esophageal work. She has a special interest in aneurysms and bicuspid aortic valve procedures.
A native of New York, Fratello grew up on the North Shore of Long Island in Northport, NY. She obtained her medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook, and furthered her training at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, in an integrated cardiothoracic residency. There she obtained experience with TAVRs, ECMO, and axillary impellas, and extensive training in ICU care. The last 18 months of the residency she served as the chief on the services.
Dr. Fratello shares a practice with her husband Thomas Kleisli, MD. Their office is located on the campus of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.
On a personal note, she loves horses and has been riding since her childhood. Fitness and wellness are a priority for her and she stays active running, biking, and doing weight training. She and her husband have four children.
