About Antony Mathew, MD

Antony Mathew, MD, is a gastroenterologist practicing at Methodist Gastroenterology Specialists in Southlake, Texas. Dr. Mathew specializes in general gastroenterology and hepatology. He focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, gastric reflux, eosinophilic esophagitis, gastrointestinal motility issues, pancreatitis, liver disease, and more. He also has a keen interest in colon cancer prevention.

Dr. Mathew earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he graduated with high honors. He then received his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine in Temple, Texas. Dr. Mathew completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He received fellowship training in gastroenterology at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mathew enjoys cheering for his favorite sports teams – Texas A&M, Dallas Mavericks, Cowboys, and Rangers. He can be found traveling, grilling, and spending time with his wife and their two children.
