About Alexander Cho, MD
Born and raised in New York, Dr. Cho is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who has been practicing in Dallas for over 15 years. He specializes in shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder arthroplasty but also performs articular cartilage restoration, sports medicine procedures, hip/knee arthroplasty, basic hand surgery and fracture fixation.
Dr. Cho completed his undergraduate education at Binghamton University in upstate New York where he double majored in biology and environmental studies. He then ventured to Syracuse, NY where he attended medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Cho matched into the orthopaedic residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Afterwards, he completed the St. Mary’s Shoulder and Sports Medicine Fellowship in San Francisco, CA.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Society. He joined the medical staff at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in 2009.
Dr. Cho lives with his Texas-native wife, their 4 children, and family dog. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys playing golf, exercising, and reading God's word.
