Coronavirus (COVID-19) & Telehealth Updates
Methodist clinics are open and ready to help you
Dear Patient,
At Methodist, our commitment to be your trusted source for healthcare is
even more essential during this difficult time. The health and wellness
of our patients, our communities, physicians, and our front-line staff
will always be our highest priority.
First and foremost, we want you to know our clinics are open to serve you
during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please be assured that keeping our clinics
clean and safe is a top priority, as we understand that in some cases
you may have a condition that is best served by seeing your doctor in person.
However, during this time, we are rapidly evolving to provide care in ways
that do not require an in-person visit. Below, we have detailed several
of the care options we have developed with your convenience and safety in mind.
Established patients with scheduled appointments
Patients with upcoming appointments will be contacted by their providers’
office to determine which visit type is most appropriate for their healthcare
needs. If possible, the office will work with you to transition your appointment
to one of the following visit types:
- Epic video visits - a virtual visit with video conducted through MyChart
- TeleVideo visits - a virtual care visit conducted on FaceTime, Google Duo, or Skype
- Telephone visits - a visit conducted only over the telephone
We are particularly excited about how these virtual visits allow you to
interact with your physician via smart phone from the safety and convenience
of your home.
Patients who need to schedule a new appointment
New or established patients needing to schedule a new appointment can call
their doctor’s office, and office staff will help determine if the
visit can be conducted utilizing a virtual visit platform. Established
patients can also request appointments via MyChart for most locations.
