CenteringPregnancy Program at Golden Cross Academic Clinic

The CenteringPregnancy program, offered through the Methodist Dallas Golden Cross Academic Clinic, is working to reduce the risk of preterm birth, increase breastfeeding rates, and boost the overall readiness for birth and infant care.

What is CenteringPregnancy®?

CenteringPregnancy is group prenatal care aimed to build a community of expectant mothers who are more aware and involved in their prenatal care.

Expectant mothers are placed in groups based on due dates. Each group has 10 pre-scheduled visits. At each visit, the women keep track of their pregnancy record, address private concerns and learn about different topics including:

• Nutrition
• Discomforts of pregnancy
• Breastfeeding
• Contraception
• Labor and birth
• Pediatricians
• Perinatal mood disorders
• Postpartum
• And much more!
