WHAT: Ceremonial Grand Opening of the new Methodist Richardson Medical Center

Methodist Health System will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the new Methodist Richardson Medical Center expansion located at the southeast corner of Renner Road and President George Bush Turnpike. The new $120 million, 125-bed, four-story acute care hospital will offer enhanced health care services to residents in Richardson, Garland, Murphy, Plano, Sachse, Wylie, and surrounding areas. The facility’s doors open to patients on Monday, April 14.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 9, program begins at 4 p.m.

WHO: Speakers include Ken Hutchenrider Jr., FACHE, president, Methodist Richardson Medical Center; Levi H. Davis, chairman, Methodist Health System board of directors; Richardson Mayor Laura Maczka; Carol Norton, MD, chief of medical staff, Methodist Richardson; Joe Snayd, chairman, Methodist Richardson advisory board and capital campaign committee.

Elected officials and civic and business leaders from Richardson, Dallas, Garland, Murphy, Plano, Sachse, and Wylie will also be present.
