Meet the Doctor
Jenevieve Hughes, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing
in breast disease and breast surgery. Dr. Hughes graduated from Texas
A&M College of Medicine. She completed her surgical internship and
residency at Mayo Clinic in Arizona and her fellowship in breast surgical
oncology at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Pennsylvania.
She moved back to Texas in 2009 with her husband and family to start her
practice, Methodist Richardson Breast Surgeons. She serves as the Medical
Director for the Methodist Richardson Breast Program. She has also served
on multiple hospital committees and has been elected President of the
Methodist Richardson Medical Center Medical staff for 2018-2020. Her medical
interests include breast cancer, breast surgery, and the management of
high-risk patients and benign breast disease.
Dr. Hughes is married, and is a proud mom to two children. She enjoys Pilates,
weight-lifting, scrapbooking, card games, theater, and travel. She is
a big fan of The Beatles, and her first two dogs were named Ringo and
Lucy. Her newest puppy is an adorable Double Doodle named Rigby.
