Our maternity and newborn services feature:

  • Accessible labor and delivery care: We have obstetricians, labor and delivery nurses, and anesthesiologists on-site 24/7. This means you’ll have a team ready to support you whenever your baby arrives.
  • Quality newborn and infant care: Most of our hospitals have either a Level I, II, or III Neonatal Unit staffed with experienced and knowledgeable teams. We provide routine and advanced care for newborns and infants who need additional support.
  • A resource hub: We offer pregnancy and parenting resources to support you before, during, and after birth. Take a guided tour of our labor and delivery facilities, attend childbirth classes, and gain access to other educational resources. You’ll also find lactation support at most of our hospitals.

Prenatal Care and Monitoring

Experienced obstetricians at Methodist work closely with you to monitor your health and your baby’s development. We coordinate prenatal visits with regular screenings and tests. This allows us to track your baby’s growth, help detect potential concerns early, and provide personalized guidance for an optimal pregnancy.

Obstetricians and nurses support you by monitoring and helping to manage complications during labor and delivery. Labor and delivery teams at Methodist have training to offer hands-on assistance during labor. We can assist with pain management, movement, and positioning to help your labor progress.

Advanced Newborn and Infant Care

We care for infants and newborns who need routine monitoring or complex medical needs. Our Level I, II, and III Neonatal Facilities provide advanced care that’s personalized to each baby’s needs.

Neonatologists, nurses, and specialists work together to help provide comprehensive medical support, from respiratory therapy to intensive care.

Skilled breastfeeding support for nursing mothers

We’re here to support you feel confident in your breastfeeding journey. Most of our locations provide lactation consultations and resources to aid mothers who wish to breastfeed. Our goal is to help make breastfeeding a positive experience for you and your baby.

Lactation specialists offer guidance on latching, milk supply, and positioning, as well as solutions for common concerns like discomfort or feeding difficulties.
