At The Linda & Mitch Hart Breast Center at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, we are proud to offer advanced breast disease and cancer screening services, including 3-D mammography and 3-D stereotactic-guided breast biopsy. Some of the advantages of a 3-D mammogram include:

  • A layer-by-layer view of the breast
  • Increased accuracy
  • Fewer unnecessary callbacks
  • Increased detection among women with moderately or extremely dense breasts

Early detection of breast cancer. Timely results and care.

In addition to having access to the best technology available, patients are notified of the results of their exams within 24 hours. Results of diagnostic mammograms and breast ultrasounds are provided to patients the same day before leaving the center.

A complete list of services offered through the Breast Center includes:

  • 3-D screening mammograms
  • 3-D diagnostic mammograms
  • Breast ultrasounds
  • Galactograms
  • Fine-needle aspiration
  • Ultrasound-guided biopsy
  • 3-D stereotactic-guided biopsy
  • Bone density exams.

Nurse Navigation

We understand the importance of continuous, individualized breast care — and that medical care is not always one size fits all. Our goal is to provide a complete cycle of care to every woman served within our center and for all care to be of the highest standard.

Continuous support is available for those with identified breast problems through a skilled and tenured nurse navigation team that offices within the Breast Center. Navigation services offered include:

  • Imaging nurse navigation services (when called back for additional tests)
  • Breast cancer nurse navigation services (for those with a breast cancer diagnosis)
  • Breast cancer survivorship nurse navigation.

Our nurses are available to assist you with addressing barriers to care, obtaining physician orders for follow-up exams, understanding breast disease and breast cancer diagnosis, participation in and referrals to support groups, following up with medical tests and office visits in a timely manner, and much more.

In order to help ensure that we are providing the best care available, the Breast Center remains accredited by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) in mammography and also continues to receive recognition by the American College of Radiology (ACR) as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.

Our Breast Center has received full accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), for a continuous commitment to offer patients every significant advantage in diagnosing and treating breast diseases and breast cancer, in addition to supporting improvement and maintenance of the quality of life of our patients and their caregivers.
