For nearly 50 years, Methodist Charlton has been caring for southern Dallas
County as the community’s trusted healthcare partner. But just as
you’ve grown and changed, so have we. That’s why we opened
a brand new, 40,000-square-foot Emergency Department in February 2023,
marking a new era for one of the busiest trauma centers in Dallas-Fort Worth.
The state-of-the-art facility, built from the ground up, adds 25 more patient
beds than the previous Emergency Department, bringing the total to 70.
With space and comfort in mind, it also has larger waiting rooms and triage
areas and expanded ambulance bays, as well as all the advanced equipment
needed to meet a wide range of critical needs.
Today, we offer thousands of care providers and dozens of specialty areas
to care for you—from advanced cardiac care and robotic surgery to
a Level II NICU to a dedicated oncology unit. With our expanded services,
you don’t have to travel far to get quality care and advanced treatments.

Center on May 21, 2024. He brings 20 years of healthcare experience to
this role.

Methodist Charlton is home to a Level III Trauma Center, and has a newly
expanded 40,000-square-foot Emergency Department. The new $71 million
facility features 70 patient beds and state-of-the-art equipment. Providing

injuries. No person in need of emergency care is ever turned away.
