About this event
Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is collaborating with teenage mothers, their support team, and their schools to provide perinatal education and support during their pregnancy. Mentoring Teen Moms is sensitive to their learning style and situation. Education is provided by experienced obstetric nurses. Our education will provide audio, visual, and optional hands-on learning to engage our new mothers, as well has educational materials to take home.
Mentoring Teen Moms course registration includes full access to our Online Childbirth Preparation eClass. The mother will also be connected with our Perinatal Education Coordinator, who will provide personalized education for infant feeding, baby care, and infant CPR.
Online Childbirth Preparation eClass information:
This self-pace, online childbirth course allows you to learn everything you need to prepare for your childbirth journey, but in the comfort of your own home. Enjoy learning with an engaging, up-to-date program on your own schedule, at your own pace.

• When to call the doctor
• Stages of labor
• Comfort Techniques
• Medical procedures in labor
• Cesarean Section
• Watch various birth stories
• Newborn and postpartum information
After purchasing this course, our Methodist Mansfield Medical Center’s perinatal coordinator will email you log-in information to get started. You will have access for nine (9) months after you first log-in.
The personalized skills education for infant feeding, baby care, and infant CPR will be coordinated with the registrant to best fit their time and needs.
