Methodist Mansfield Childbirth Preparation

This eight hour in-person course is designed to help prepare parents for their experience in childbirth by gaining knowledge and confidence prior to delivery. Topics such as labor signs, medical procedures, and comfort techniques, and recovery will be covered by a Registered Nurse.

Topics Include:

• stages of labor
• when to call provider
• what to pack for the hospital
• birth process
• comfort techniques
• role of support person
• medical procedures and cesarean birth
• recovery and postpartum
• emotional support

Class will be held in Conference Room A/B on the 1st floor of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. Wear comfortable clothes. Please bring snacks and drinks if desired. A break for lunch will be provided. At the end of class, a maternity tour is including during this class time.
