About Tyler R. Freeman, MD
Tyler Freeman, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in both partial and total knee replacements, anterior total hip replacement, and revision hip & knee arthroplasty surgery. He employs advanced techniques, including computer navigation and robotics. Dr. Freeman has published numerous articles in orthopedic journals and remains active in advancing the field through research and clinical practice.
Dr. Freeman earned his undergraduate degree in Finance and Biochemistry from Baylor University before attending medical school at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society & Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Freeman completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Colorado, followed by a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the Mississippi Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center.
A sixth generation Texan, Dr. Freeman is happily married to his wife Katherine and they have a daughter, Charlotte, born in 2023. Outside of work Dr. Freeman loves college football, barbecue, and hiking.
