About Tonya Sweezer, DO
Tonya Sweezer, DO, is an experienced family medicine physician, IFM certified practitioner, and a Naturopathic physician who has been serving patients since 2004. She earned her undergraduate degree from Seattle University and her naturopathic medical degree from Bastyr University. She later pursued both a graduate degree as well as a medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Following graduation, Dr. Sweezer then completed her family medicine residency training at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Sweezer expertly combines naturopathic, osteopathic, and functional medicine principles with traditional medical practice to optimize health and maintain wellness. She has a special interest in gastrointestinal stomach issues, irritable bowel syndrome, women’s issues, nutrition, and preventive medicine. She also treats patients with high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, obesity, and autoimmune diseases.
Outside of work, Dr. Sweezer enjoys cooking, yoga, and spending time with her son and daughter.
