About Richard M. Dickerman, MD
Dr. Richard Dickerman is the Surgical Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplant, General and Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Dickerman received his surgical training at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. He is a clinical associate professor of surgery with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is well published and recognized as one of the leading vascular and transplant surgeons in the state of Texas. Dr. Dickerman was instrumental in the development of the kidney and pancreas transplant program that has performed more than 2,500 transplants since 1981. He was the first surgeon, along with Ron Aronoff, MD to successfully perform a laparoscopic nephrectomy at Methodist Dallas in 1999. He is surgical director of the transplant programs at Methodist Dallas Medical Center and Medical City Hospital.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Dickerman enjoys spending time with his family.
