About Muhammad A. Baig, MD
Muhammad Baig, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained interventional gastroenterologist practicing at Methodist Gastroenterology Specialists–Dallas. He joined Methodist Dallas Medical Center in 2025 and has practiced gastroenterology in Texas since 2023.
Dr. Baig specializes in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) for the management of complex pancreas, bile duct, and gallbladder disorders. He also offers bariatric endoscopy to treat obesity and metabolic disorders.
In addition, Dr. Baig has a keen interest in the field of third space endoscopy, which includes peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). He uses submucosal endoscopy to treat achalasia, Zenker’s diverticulum, gastroparesis, and superficial tumors of the GI tract. His research in the field has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Baig went into medicine to make a difference in the lives of others. He wants to make high-quality care more accessible to everyone who needs it. When he isn’t treating patients, Dr. Baig enjoys cooking and traveling with his family.
