About Mary A. Weaver, MD

Mary Ann Weaver, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor at Methodist Family Health Center – Lake Prairie. She specializes in preventive care, chronic disease management, and women’s health.

Dr. Weaver’s care philosophy focuses on active listening and shared decision-making with patients. She encourages patients to ask questions and express concerns while working together to achieve their health and wellness goals. Dr. Weaver is committed to treating her patients the way she would want her own family members to be treated.

Dr. Weaver found career inspiration in her mother and grandmother, both nurses, and in her great-grandmother, a West Texas midwife. She always knew she wanted to work in a field where she could help people. Family medicine allows her to do so in a setting where she meets and gets to know all kinds of people.

The specialty also helps her have the work-life balance she prefers. During her time away from practicing medicine, she likes traveling and spending time with her family.
