About Lisa M. Maehara, DO
Southern California native, Lisa Maehara, DO, has served patients as a physician since 2019. Dr. Maehara completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. She earned her medical degree from A.T. Still University- Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, and completed her residency training at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Michigan.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Maehara has a clinical focus in joint injections, skin biopsies, incision and drainage, and skin tag removals. She also treats high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, obesity, thyroid disease, lung disease, headaches, addresses women’s health issues and preventive medicine, and provides acute care visits.
Outside of work, Dr. Maehara enjoys yoga, golfing, hiking, playing piano, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their two lovable dogs.
Dr. Maehara will move her practice to Southlake in October. She is very excited about helping launch the new Methodist Family Health Center – Southlake later this year and looks forward to helping serve that community.
