Lindsey VanDyke, DO, obtained her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and is certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at College Medical Center in Long Beach, California. It was during this time Dr. VanDyke received the STAR award, the Research Award 3 years in a row, and was elected to serve as Chief Resident due to her outstanding work and dedication to her colleagues. Dr. VanDyke then acquired specialized training at the University of New Mexico in the field of Endocrinology and Metabolism. She published research addressing the hormonal contributions to PTSD and studied the diabetes drug Metformin and its potential as an anti-aging medication. As an Endocrinologist, she manages a broad scope of metabolic disorders, including diabetes and obesity medicine, bone health, thyroid hormones and cancer, blood pressure and cholesterol issues. She also manages hormone replacement therapies.

Dr. VanDyke’s unique background drew her to Osteopathic Medicine. Both as a child and young adult, she was diagnosed and treated for two different types of cancer. This personal experience gave her an empathy for her patients and their families, as well as a passion for treating the "whole person" rather than just a disease. Her memoir, entitled “Bow Ties, Butterflies and Band-Aids”, details her experience and that of those closest to her, during their cancer journey and discusses the effects it has on the entire community.

When she is not working, Dr. VanDyke enjoys a wide array of outdoor activities, reading, cooking, attending Mini Cooper motoring rallies, and is a proud member of the Southern California Corgi Nation.
