About Jessica A. Dean, DO

Jessica Dean, DO, is a board-certified family medicine doctor at Methodist Richardson Family Medical Group, where she has practiced since 2014. She specializes in treating diabetes and hypertension (high blood pressure). She also offers preventive care, including wellness and weight loss support.

Dr. Dean is certified in osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), a set of hands-on techniques to help diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and other conditions. She has also researched the relationship between physical activity and mood in children and adolescents.

Dr. Dean chose to specialize in family medicine because she enjoys treating the whole family — from kids to grandparents. She finds meeting with patients and supporting their health both professionally and personally gratifying. She’s able to be a resource and support for their health care. Dr. Dean loves seeing patients’ family milestones as they move from one stage of life to the next.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Dean spends time cooking, reading, and gardening and loves being a mother and homemaker.
