About Jasper Peña, FNP-C

Jasper Peña is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse and family nurse practitioner (APRN-FNP) at Methodist Family Health Center – Waxahachie. She provides primary care to patients of all ages and has been with Methodist Health System since 2010.

Peña chose family medicine as her specialty because she loves treating people in different life phases, from childhood to old age. She helps people with everything from wellness visits to treatments for chronic conditions, urgent illnesses or minor injuries. She also has a special interest in homeopathic care, a practice that uses natural approaches to help the body heal itself.

Peña’s approach to family healthcare is to treat the whole person, considering body, mind and spirit. She views all aspects of a patient’s life and health as interconnected, rather than a list of isolated symptoms. During visits, Peña focuses on getting to know patients and listening to their concerns, conversing in either English or Spanish. As a result, she and her patients can partner in decision-making, working together toward better health and wellness.

When she isn’t caring for patients, Peña likes to read and spend time with her children.
