About Asad Mohmand, MD

Asad Mohmand, MD, specializes in treating a wide spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, including coronary and peripheral vascular disease, heart failure, arrhythmia and valvular disease. Board certified in general and interventional cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, he is also a certified Clinical Hypertension Specialist. He is skilled in performing minimally invasive catheter-based procedures for life-threatening conditions such as acute coronary syndrome, aortic stenosis and pulmonary embolism. In 2015, he started the trans-radial catheterization program at Methodist Richardson Medical Center, performing complex coronary interventions though a small artery in the wrist.

He has published in peer-reviewed journals and has won several awards by his peers for academic and clinical excellence. Dr. Mohmand believes the best way to treat patients is to treat them like a member of his own family.

Dr. Mohmand loves the great outdoors and is an avid cyclist. He enjoys being in Dallas with his wife and three children, where they are close to family and can pursue their outdoor interests year-round.
