Methodist Charlton Earns Gold Seal of Approval for Orthopedic Program
Methodist Charlton Medical Center recently earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ for its Orthopedic Joint Replacement Program (hip and knee) by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in disease-specific care.
To earn certification, Methodist Charlton underwent a rigorous on-site survey in which an expert surveyor from The Joint Commission evaluated the orthopedic program for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients and families, including infection prevention and control, leadership, and medication management.
“Achieving Joint Commission certification in our orthopedic program is a major step for our organization toward maintaining excellence and continually improving the care we provide,” says Methodist Charlton Vice President of Support Services Kendall Huff.
