What do volunteers do at Methodist?

Volunteers are an integral part of the services we offer at Methodist Health System. They offer vital support throughout the hospital in both patient care and nonclinical areas. Their service allows the day-to-day operations at each campus to run smoothly.

Here are just a few of the ways you might serve at Methodist:

  • Greet guests, provide information or directions, or escort guests
  • Assist with meal delivery and menu selections
  • Lend a helping hand in clerical departments
  • Provide comfort rounds on patients
  • Support families in waiting rooms
  • Deliver flowers and mail to patients
  • Help in the hospital gift shop
  • Share your musical, artistic, or other talents as needed.

Volunteering is good for you, too

Did you know that by helping others you can also help yourself? Volunteering can help you lower stress, boost self-confidence, and bring fun and fulfillment to your life, just to name a few.

The volunteer programs at Methodist are designed to align volunteers in positions of interest to best support personal growth, interest, and hospital needs.

If you are passionate about helping others, committed to providing excellent customer services, enjoy sharing your skills, and want to be a part of a great team, we’d love to hear from you!
