Clinical Research Institute
Medical Research and Clinical Trials through the Methodist Health System Clinical Research Institute
The Methodist Health System Clinical Research Institute (Methodist CRI) is a multi-disciplinary entity that facilitates research throughout Methodist Health System, its hospitals and affiliates. The Methodist CRI was established to increase medical research efforts at Methodist through innovation, developing answers to clinical questions, and consistently contributing information for the ultimate benefit of patient care. The Methodist CRI strives to ensure that research is carried out to standards that exceeds international, federal, and state regulations.
The mission of the Methodist CRI is to provide professional, ethical, and relevant clinical research support to clinical investigators and research staff at Methodist Health System.
The Methodist CRI is currently involved in medical research and clinical trials in the following areas:
- Infectious Disease
- Internal Medicine
- Pain Management
- Vascular Surgery
- Wound Care
While these are current areas of research, the Methodist CRI has the ability to engage in research in virtually every type of medicine practiced within the Methodist Health System.
Visit clinicaltrials.gov, from the National Institutes of Health, for a database of clinical trials.
